Abertridwr’s October Feast

"An Andalusian Experience"

The City of Granada has been liberated from the Moors.

The delights of Moorish Spain await your pleasure.

Come join us in a night of delicious discovery!

About Spain in the time of the feast

After 700 years of hostility and intermittent war Spain was united under Ferdinand and Isabella in 1492.

The Moorish influence was everywhere: Architecture, clothing, food, arts and sciences.

French influence had been seen in the court life and the merging of the two cultures gave a rich and unique flavor to Spanish court life.

Costumes & Feasting gear

If you're attending a Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) event, it is customary to bring your own feasting gear - that is, a plate, a bowl, a knife, a spoon, a fork and a goblet or tankard.  A candle stick and candle are useful for illuminating your meal as well!
