Within the SCA, Target Archery involves shooting at 60cm target faces, mounted on target butts.
The main sets of Archery Rules that apply, are the rules contained in the SCA Target Archery Handbook, published at
http://www.sca.org/officers/marshal/docs/t_archery/target_archery_rules.pdf
and the Kingdom of Lochac Target Archery Handbook, published at
http://lochac.sca.org/archers/files/ArcheryHandbook_Draft_1.pdf .
Archers are expected to have read and beknowledgeable of both of those two sets of Rules, before shooting within the Kingdom of Lochac
The most important Target Archery Rules, for Target Archers to remember, are:
1. No Target Archery is allowed to occur without a warranted Target Archery Marshall being present and supervising the archery, and
2. The Target Archery Marshal in charge, must be obeyed.
Remember - safety is paramount.
For details of training/practice sessions, see the Training web page - the link is in the web site menu, and look for applicable messages on the mailing list.
