Virtual Kingdom Arts & Sciences
Collegium of Lochac

The concept of Collegia is an SCA-wide phenomenon. Many Kingdom's hold Annual Kingdom Collegia in one form or another. The current investigation, by the Arts and Sciences Office of Lochac, into an annual Lochac Kingdom Collegium was instigated by Queen Morwynna and is a current project of the A&S Office.

The Honourable Lady Katerina da Brescia is current Collegium Deputy, in charge of helping to research the possibility of an annual Kingdom level Collegium. At this point it looks most feasible that it will take the form of the Virtual Kingdom Arts and Sciences Collegium of Lochac. (VKCL?) to be posted to a Kingdom-based website, which is located at http://www.lochac.sca.org/collegium. Permission will be sought to use notes, hopefully be drawn from the Annual Guild's Ascension Day, Festival A&S Collegium and New Zealand A&S Collegia.

The decision for a Virtual Kingdom Collegium was made in consideration of the large distances between groups, in Lochac, and to include our newest addition of New Zealand.

If you do not have access to the internet, then a Virtual Kingdom A&S Collegium CD will be available at cost price + postage. These will be available from the current Collegium Deputy, on request.

The KMoAS will appoint a Collegium Deputy (2 year term), to collect, compile and publish Virtual Collegium notes on a Kingdom-based website. The Collegium Deputy will also organise a Virtual Kingdom Collegium CD is produced and sent to individuals who do not have access to the internet.

The purpose of the Collegium is to allow the information to be spread to all areas of our Kingdom, especially for those who cannot attend due to the large distances inherent in our Kingdom.

If you wish to volunteer to teach at any Collegium in Lochac, please contact the Collegium Steward. I am sure they will be grateful for your assistance. If you would like more information or would like to comment on the the Virtual Kingdom A&S Collegium of Lochac, please contact the Lochac A&S Collegium Deputy.
