Anything that was done in the Middle Ages can be done in the SCA. Fight in an army? You can do it. Make your own clothes? You can do it. Shear your own sheep, spin your own wool and weave your own cloth? You can do it. Get knighted? You can do it. Play the lute? You can do it. Dance? You can do it. Make your own armour? You can do it. Cook a feast for a 100 people? You can do it. Make your own Viking tent? You can do it. Carve all of your bowls and cutlery from a tree you cut down yourself? You can do it. Brew your own mead? You can do it. Make your own inks for scribing? You can do it. Fight to become King? You can do it. Make your own cosmetics? You can do it. Die of the Black Plague? Ok, you can't do that - but pretty much anything and everything else that was done in Medieval times, you can do and, chances are, someone has given it a go before and can give you advice and a helping hand to get your project underway.
