Inagural Rant - 13/05/07
For those of you who are new I hope that this is the first step into another world in which
fighters in shining armour fight for the honour of their Ladies (or Lords). A world in which
sumptuous feasts are shared with friends, with dancing singing and other entertainment.
A world in which tents are clustered in a clearing with banners flapping in the wind while
children play and craftspeople construct things of beauty. A world where a campfire blazes
while stories are told of exploits on the warfield, until the early hours of the morning.
For those of you who are not new you will no doubt have experienced at least some of this and you
will be hankering for more!
I invite you all to have a good look around this website and to join in with activities. Check the
calender to see what the next event is and start planning for the fun it will be. If you wish to
attend but are lacking in costume, transport or some other minor thing then let us know and we will
do all in our power to enable you to participate and enjoy the event to the fullest.
Always keep in mind that the society can be a place where the powerful are polite, the quiet are heard
and we all help each other. All in all we should HAVE LOTS OF FUN!
