The Lochac Brewers, Vintners and Imbibers (BVI) Guild is a rough collection of people who all share an interest of Brewing, Vintnering (Wine Making) and those who can judge and appreciate medieval style brews within the Kingdom of Lochac. The Kingdom of Lochac is the portion of the Society for Creative Anachronism that covers Australia and New Zealand. The role of the guild is to encourage and foster the various brewing arts and to also encourage responsible production, serving, and consumption of products produced by our members. The current Guildmaster is Master Drake Morgan, OL. He can be reached here: drake@sca.org.au. Drake steps down at Rowany Yule (December 13, 2003) in the Barony of Rowany. The new Guilmaster is Lord Oddliefr Hrafnsson. He can be reached here: karlv@hawknet.com.au. We promote the enjoyment of the re-creation of alcohol styles pre 1669. We also especially encourge our new Zealand members, who also have the rights to distill there, something that the rest of Lochac cannot do. The guild's main meeting is the Brewer's Breakfast at Rowany Festival (Easter Long Weekend at the Crossroads Medieval Collective site). To advance in the the guild rankings you'll need to:
MANY Volunteers are wanted for a HUGE up and coming project, the Lochac
Herbal for Brewers and Lochac Recipe Book.
