The one basic requirement for participation at SCA events is an attempt at wearing clothes of the period – and who doesn’t enjoy a bit of dressing up! To give you an idea of some of the range of clothes we explore, here are some examples of garb made by group members.

When making garb, it is advisable to choose a design and time period that you like and that interests you. There are lots of fantastic resources on the Internet and in history books. You are not limited by geographic area, lots of people make eastern, Asian and African costume. Do not hesitate to ask for advice and help from us, as we are most happy to oblige! To see what sewing escapades we are up to at the moment have a look at the Cloak and Scissors.
