INFORMATION ON DEVICE BANNERS

Back in the early days of Innilgard, Baron Tovye and Baroness Aislinn commissioned banners to be made, with the registered devices of the populace of Innilgard. This was originally entrusted to Lady Breanach and is now in the care of Baroness Ingerith Ryzka.
The purpose of the banners is not only to display the heraldry of Innilgard's populace but was originally intended to display the workmanship of Innilgard's embroiderers, also giving an easy project for beginners in the art. Over time, this has been extended to other forms of craft used in banner making in our period, including applique and painting.

This is a long-term project, as even now Innilgard continues to grow with new devices being registered. Each device is individually created by volunteers who have given their time with either embroidery, sewing, applique or painting. When your device is registered, please contact the Baroness. If you do not wish to create your own device for the banner, she will organise a volunteer to do it.

Gentles who have worked on the banner include: Bryonny Beehyrd, Blodywyth, Hana Mikura, Sheilagh Gibbs, Alisaundre Kilmarron, Elspeth, Lavinia, Finndbhair, James, Arlev, Bella, Aleanor, Leofwynn, Katerina. Individuals of the Barony are currently working on the 3rd and 4th device banner, which will display many of our currently active people in Innilgard.
