Eric's 20th Anniversary Tourney
Does anyone remember where sheep stealing started?
The day is to mark Eric's 20th year in the society, and on the day will run a sheep stealing
teams melee in the barony, the day the sheep fear the most. The Baron's and Baroness' champions
face off for their corresponding coronet in a teams melee. Single handed weapons (no flori),
the off hand is used to carry the sheep, with each team having one deemed goalie who can carry
a two hander (sword glave), with the idea of carrying the sheep over the opponents goal line and
earning a point for their baron/ess and the sheep. The rules may change during the day or in each
individual bout at the marshal's/ B&B's discretion. Lots of fun!!!

Baroness' Championship - Marshall Boucicaut Memorial Tournament
Good Gentles, let it be known that on the 18th day of October AS 44, the honour
of serving the Baroness of Innilgard as her Champion shall be contested in martial
combat.
As befitting this occasion, the tournament format shall be in remembrance of one of
the most celebrated chivalric Champions of the Middle Ages, Marshal Jean le Meingre
Boucicaut, (c. 1366-1421) Marshal of France. Boucicaut is renowned for his martial
prowess, as well as his exemplary dedication to the chivalric virtues. As founder of
the chivalric order 'White Lady of the Green Shield', whose sole purpose was to protect
and serve women, Boucicaut stands as one of the most impressive examples of a knight.
Boucicaut was also a firm believer in a stringent training regime to maintain physical
prowess. Therefore the contest for Baroness' Champion shall be one of not only martial
prowess, but physical duration, and above all chivalry.
The combat component of the tournament shall be fought in chivalric weapons style,
and as a prerequisite upon entering the list, each combatant much have a standard,
pennon or bannerette. Heraldic display is strongly encouraged.
