Krae Glas Minutes, April 2007

25/4/07 , Gwynfor & Gwir's
Present: Anita Beissel, Tiffany Brown (A&S), Leanne Campbell (Chronicler), Stephen Drane, Paul Harrison (Constable), Iestyn, Lillian Johnston (Web Mistress), Michele le Bas (Reeve), Conrad Leviston (Marshall), Margaret Rendell (Seneschal), Steve Roylance, Peter Ryan.

Officers' Reports

Reeve:

We have approximately $2500 - bring on the long-term group projects (silk banners?)

Web:

Wrapups of the Summer Twilight Tourney Series are almost completely up. Possibility it might be beneficial to move the email list to googlegroups - this has the downside that we lost the calender, but we can work around this.

Chronicler:

Would be good to have notes and photos from Friday night training for the newsletter - send to Leanne.

A&S:

Next workshop day can't be at G&G's, will need to move (Michele or Margaret could host).

Suggestion for May workshop day: masks (for Stormhold Mask Ball). Conrad will talk to Jennie, who knows stuff about masks.

Suggestion for June: outdoor oven.

Marshall:

Friday night training very well attended. There have been issues when people are keen to do things other than heavy, but there are no appropriate marshalls. Bertram has volunteered to administer Friday nights - making sure the appropriate marshalls are there and keeping track of waivers.

Constable:

No new issues.

Business Arising:

Silk banners as potential group project

Tiff volunteers to sew applique if we decide to do this (which is period method). We should do a(t least one) Krae Glas banner & a Kingdom one. (St Mon's has the last KG banner we made)

Library promotional display cabinet

Display cabinet is organised for June at Glen Waverley. Need people to volunteer stuff.

Upcoming Events:

  • June - (Stormhold) Winter Feast and Ball.
  • August 4 th - Burgundian Feast
  • October? (Stormhold) A&S weekend.
