Issues Arising:

Hiring of regular hall.

Need to start looking at potential scout halls/school halls/church halls/sports pavilions

Brainstorm of hall features we want to look at/for when looking at potential halls

  • Size
  • Price (regular hire? Discount if 6 months paid in advance?)
  • Multiple spaces?
  • Kitchen facilities
  • Toilets
  • Accessibility of toilets
  • Outdoor area
  • Parking
  • Public transport
  • High ceilings – no low light fittings
  • Fussiness re scratches on floor
  • Storage space
  • Curfew?
  • Back street/major road?

Potential places to start looking

  • The New Church (Michele)
  • Bogong Avenue Scout Hall (Michele)
  • Scout Halls near freeway
  • Jack Edwards Reserve
  • Hughesdale Scout Hall (Peter)
  • City of Kingston
  • City of Casey
  • City of Monash

Tiff is happy to chase up scout halls

Margaret will ring Scout Association to see if we can get a comprehensive list.
