Krae Glas Council Meeting Minutes - January 2008

Present: Tiffany Brown (A&S), Paul Harrison (Constable), Lillian Johnston (Web), Michele le Bas (Reeve), Jacinta Reid, Margaret Rendell (Seneschal), Steve Roylance, Peter Ryan.

Officers' Reports

Marshall (given by Peter):

Friday nights have had archery and heavy.

$30 would be enough to get a good archery backdrop. (vote on spending money on this: PR move, TB 2 nd , no objections)

Tourney stuff is up.

We have money

A&S

The shoe workshop was good.

All stuff will be Festival-related until Easter.

Do something post-Festival? (suggestion: “what I learned/saw at Festival”)

(suggestion: bring along frocks, Gwynfor will photo.)

Seneschal

Given some people (including Deputy Seneschal, and S and R have difficulty being on time), maybe have meetings on Saturdays? Could then possibly have other thing(s) on Wednesday night(s).

Mini-meetings on Saturday definitely and option.

Recruitment

library display – librarians commented flyers going “like hot cakes”.
Recruitment suggestion: “free entry to new member” tokens [like gmail].
Need to do some estimations of retention rate from different approaches.
Recruitment suggestions: Mt Waverley market stall. Something for the kids at the library during school holidays. Pakenham/Berwick/Frankston shows. If everyone devised & organized one thing…

Festival

KG encampment will be small, 12 ish adults, 3 kids.
No need for extra tentage.
Maybe whole group food fund?
Will be water (learned today)
Still don't know about firewood.
