Unofficial Fighter Training/Armouring

Location: Master Gwynfor Lwyd & Lady Gwir verch Madog's home

Sometimes there is a day when there are no tourneys, feasts, games days, official training, meetings or any of the other scheduled events the SCAholds regularly. However, this does not mean that one has to spend the daygardening or doing housework! A quick email and a couple of phone calls,and before you know it the house is full of people armouring, fighter training,working on Arts & Sciences projects, socialising and playing with Peregrinap Gwynfor.

Unfortunately, on this afternoon, someone suggested that I take a few photos for posterity. As a consequence, they are presented here with the inevitable editorial comments. ;)

Pell work
l-r Ulvar, Lady Vera Lupa and Lady Ute von Tangemunde practicing at the pell. They are actually practicing Duke Jade of Starfall's "flow of blows" exercise, which works on developing a flow of shots from any target to any other target, encouraging speed, accuracy and flexibility.

Another view of the torrid combat betwixt Lady vera and Lord Hannbal. Vera fought for about 20 or so minutes, which is a remarkable effort for the first time in armor, and managed to get a few telling blows in on the vastly more experienced Hannbal. Huzzah!
