We welcomed back Adrienne to our meetings. Other Attendees included: Thorfin, Breanna, Peregrin, Gwir, Rudolf and Vera
coming in for a taste.
Recipes comments today was interesting. The two garlic sauces, comparing a white and pink (stock and red grape juice) and parboiled and fresh garlic, proved that either is a good choice and trying them on chicken and beef a good method of comparison.
January is our planning month, where we discuss how the last year went and what we would like to do this year. Everyone felt we have had a really good year. The redactions of Forme of Cury have gone very well, web site and recording doing much better of Lochac Cook Guild submissions. Bur we all felt we would still like to get others in Victoria more involved.
This year we have decided to do the following
- Continue to hold most meetings at Nicolettes home as it is centralish to active members
- Move one or two meetings to Arganhell's home in The Basin to encourage the Arrowsreach people. Monday night training is really for the fighters and trying to get anything else happening then is really not a good idea as most participate in fighting activites. The first of these meetings will be the 3rd of June.
- We want to encourage the Cairn Fell people, they are doing the work, so why not. Will write and ask if they would like us to attend one of their month project Saturdays and make it a cooking day.
- While we all want to finish translating the FoC, we would also like to work on some other stuff this year, German as in de Goode Spica, and Elizabethian as in Good Housewives. Nicolette and Emma have copies so if you want a look, let us know.
