Krae Glas Maps
The Shire of Krae Glas has negotiated with it's neighbours where the boundries of tit's lands fall. This doesn't mean that all members of the shire live in these lands (anyone is allowed to play with any SCA group), or that no members of neighboring groups live in these lands, but it marks out the areas where the shire will try to recruit new members from and hold most of it's events within. These boundries also have an administrative effect on the numbers of members of the group, if the group wishes to move to a grander title such as "barony".
Original
Drawn in January, A.S. XXIX. This was the first map drawn up
for Krae Glas. Note the spelling Kraé Glas. This map took account of the
proposed College of St.Odo, at Swinburne.
Current Map
Drawn up in December, A.S. XXXIV, the intervening five years
saw a number of changes. Sadly both St.Cecelia and St Bartholomew became dormant
while St.Odo never really got off the ground.
Three more cantons had formed in Stormhold: Arrowsreach; Dubh Thrien (after a
period of dormancy) and Bryn A Mor in Wonthaggi (just south east of the map).Hawthorn College of music had also formed the College of All Saints, effectively
under the auspices of House Unnamed. Krae Glas had also given up a little land
to Arrows Reach, though as the maps are not really to scale no real idea of the
nature of this change can be gleaned. The northern border of Krae Glas was now
at High Street Road. Further off the map Borders Crossing had formed in
Albury/Woodonga and Foresters Reach in Ballarat.
