About Pegasus

Pegasus is the Official Newsletter of the Kingdom of Lochac, of the Society for Creative Anachronism Inc. It is available to subscribing members of the SCA.

The Pegasus Editor is Kateryna Bouland de Lancastre.

The Regnum Deputy is Catalina OroSol. All changes to details in Regnum are to be sent to regnum@sca.org.au.

Pegasus can be accessed electronically by subscribing members at the Registry.

Submitting Copy for Pegasus

Pegasus copy MUST be received by the TENTH of the month prior to the month you want your copy to appear (e.g., deadline for JUNE Pegasus is May 10th). Send all Pegasus copy to pegasus@sca.org.au. Please have a descriptive subject header to distinguish from spam.

If you would like to submit articles or artwork for Pegasus please contact the Pegasus Editor for size details, format etc. PDFs cannot be directly inserted, so please send material as separate text and images. Officer reports are requested to be no longer than 500 words if possible. Please include a written statement of permission to publish, dated and signed for all original work.

Please do not send scanned copies of handwritten event notices, as they are difficult to read.

Advertising in Pegasus

Kingdom Events (Investitures; Crown Tourneys) are entitled to up to three (3) full A5 page advertisements at no charge. Event notices are published in the Calendar and Coming Events section for free. All other advertisements must be paid for before they appear in Pegasus. Advertising rates are $30, $20 or $15 for a full, half or quarter A5 page, $7 to reprint a business card (rates in $AU). Larger size advertisement rates upon application on a case by case basis. Prices are for publication ready ads (ads MUST be formatted for an A5 page) on a space available basis. Payment must arrive in advance of printing. Make cheques payable to "SCA Pegasus." Contact the Chronicler (Honore: see Regnum) for payment details. Specify month(s) for publication. Paid adverts from outside Australia please contact the Pegasus Editor for arrangements. Pegasus has a readership of approximately 500.

Reprinting Pegasus Content

Official articles from Society Officers and event notices in Pegasus may be reprinted without special permission in newsletters and other publications of branches of the SCA. Rights for illustrations and other articles remain with their authors. For information on reprinting articles and artwork from this publication, please contact the Pegasus Editor (pegasus@sca.org.au), who will assist you in contacting the original creator of the piece. Please respect the legal rights of our contributors.

Reminder: Pegasus Deadlines

• All Copy, Event Forms, Royalty and Officer's Reports: 10th of the month before publication. (e.g. 10th July for August Pegasus).
