Welcome to Politarchopolis

This is the web site of the Canberra, Australia, branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism. We are an educational, non-profit organisation dedicated to the study and re-creation of all aspects of life in pre-17th-century medieval and renaissance society.

On behalf of Alessandro von Florenz and Isobel le Bretoun, the Baron and Baroness of Politarchopolis, we bid you welcome.

This site is newly rebuilt by the baronial Hierophant (website administrator), Baron Karl Faustus von Aachen, mundanely known as Paul Sleigh. If you find anything missing or broken, please contact him directly at bat@flurf.net, or via our contacts page.

New Features

The big news is the officers' blogs: read the news in the sidebar. As usual, if you have news to add, let the Hierophant know.

We also have the baronial Roll of Arms, listing all the baronial awards given since the first baronial court, nearly twelve years ago. If you find anything missing there's a form you can fill in to inform the baronial Herald. If you want to recommend someone for an award, there's a form that will send a private message to the Baron and Baroness.

The baronial newsletter, Griffintayle, is available for download as an Adobe PDF file. It contains news, reports and contact details, much like the website but in a handy printable form so you can read it on the bus. For paper subscriptions, contact the Chronicler.

The photo gallery will grow to contain a photographic record of the people and events of the barony. If you have something to add, or would like permission to reprint or republish any of the photos therein, go there and follow the links.
