clothing for SCA and Renaissance groups. They have a good line of off the
rack rapier armour and appear to provide a mail order service. Worth a
look just to fuel ideas for making your own rapier armour. The
construction details noted on the site should also help you design your
own armour so that it meets the requirements.

This group has some of the best online resources for recreating 15th Century clothing. Follow the links to their newsletter Dragon to see some of the useful information on garment construction. Well worth a look just for inspiration.
An interesting article written by Dona Gwenneth of Glamorgan. This is class notes from one of the sessions held at the Ansteorran Academy of Rapier AS XXXV. Good illustrations, especially the ones showing the typical pattern used for making a period doublet. It's part of a larger file, so you'll need to be patient and wait for it to download. ~3.5Mb
The original intructions written by Ancient Guildmaster Edmund the Lame, which first appeared in the West Kingdom Rapier rules back in 1997. Now available as a stand alone document.
Construction intructions written by Guildmaster ibn Jelal, which build on Edmund's method. Easy munitions grade hilt production method.
The intructions for the current Society Drop Tester (version 2) can be found at http://www.sca.org/officers/marshal/combat/rapier/rapier_appendices.pdf in Appendix 3. All droptesters built for use in Lochac must conform to these instructions.
