• When: 14/10/1995 11am
• Where: Meadowlands Picnic Ground, Tingalpa.
• What: Live Chess Game - Pieces have already been filled, but if you wear the right colour (ie black of white) you can swop with people who are pieces. The right to control the chess games will be auctioned off during the day to the highest bidder. BYO lunch, but cordials will be provided. Brisbane City Council requests no GLASS containers on site.
• Cost $2 for all who participate in games.

Everyone had a brilliant day. After various assorted silliness, we managed to play about two games. After that everything got a bit lazy, but everyone had a good time anyway. Many thanks to the Fildes for being typically brilliant and invaluable, Caitlin for putting heaps of work and the many, many people who made the event the success it was and reminded me of what the Society is about.
