Two tourneys held (writing up and sending off still to be done). Good turnout for both. Lists Tabard has turned up (thanks to Hanbal finding it in Baronial storage).
St Barts
Clubs and Societies are not returning phone calls or emails.
Reeve
Baronial Investiture made a profit. How much is still to be fully determined.
Have a $12,366.38 balance.
Herald
Some Courts and two Tourney’s held. Willing deputies assisted. Awards recorded.
It was ascertained that Baronial record forms exist. Former Herald put receipts in for storage boxes. It was AGREED that a subscription to Camel be paid for.
It was AGREED that the timing of regular events be included in Website details.
Arts & Sciences
Next meeting is Alcoholic Cordials at Master Gunnric’s (2 Sheffield Rd Brunswick) on fourth Friday. The idea is to make them now so they are drinkable at William Marshal. Details are on website. Basically grain alcohol + sugar + infused flavour. Digby’s is the main source.
Next month will be personal heraldry. Heraldic consultation concentrating on design effects for heraldic display. Crux library will be available by then via good offices of Deputy Crux (Tamsyn).
Thanks to Mistress Elanor, dancing at Invest went well. The four folk who turned up to glovemaking last month had fun.
Email Mistress Genna if want to do something specific.
Noted that Hanbal & Uta were agitating for a simple garb workshop for Sunbury folk.
Chronicler
Has got her first edition of Stormscroll out. Very interested in feedback (good or bad). Feedback comments from two members of the populace in Cairnfell were appreciated.
It was noted that a free version of Adobe™ creation package, PDF995, was downloadable (at http://www.pdf995.com/).
Would like to include advance A&S details. Articles are sought.
Showed example of colourful and attractive poster used by the Barony of Yns Fawr and left on hall posting boards, etc. Had also used Baronial business cards effectively.
That Hanbal had drafted a Brochure was noted.
Seneschal
Will be updating Website Regnum including contact details that are in Stormscroll.
Have not received any applications to be successor. Encourage populace to suggest to people that they might apply.
General Business
Heart of Winter (Cairnfell)
Tourney during day, feast in evening. Crash space available, as well as hotels and caravan parks. Rapidly filling up (already have 40+ bookings). Lots of newcomers.
Key for road gate at John Gardner (Monthly Bash site)
New gate and locking system has been installed. Baron will look into. Contact is Kate Longley (w 9822 3247). Also will looking into moving start of booking to noon over Winter.
Baronial Commendations
It was AGREED that up to $100 would be spend on new tokens for awards, with consultation with Baronial Herald on details.
Was suggested that description of Baronial Awards should go onto Website.
Sunshade Receipts
It was AGREED that receipts for materials for sunshades would be reimbursed.
Baronial Investiture Lost Property
Was decided not to post descriptions on website. Will go to Baronial storage via Reeve.
Temporary Constable for Monthly Bash
Lorraine AGREED to organise constabulary at next Monthly Bash. Seneschal AGREED to talk to Kingdom Constable about details.
Hospitallery Garb
A sort of the Hospitallery Garb will be done at the next Thursday meeting. Will be brought to Heart of Winter. Donations accepted. (Particularly child garb.)
Business Cards
It was AGREED that business card be created for the Barony of Stormhold and that the B&B purchase a stamp with their contact details up to a total of $100. B&B to organise.
Chandlery
It was AGREED that 10 intermediate and 1 jumbo cloth bags be purchased by Chandler to replace split ones.
Arrowsreach to Barony
The issue of how Stormhold might assist Arrowsreach to become a Barony was briefly discussed and left open for later discussion.
Happy Barony Strategies
How newcomers could be attracted (static ads, demos, public tourneys), making sure there was the infrastructure to support them (Officers filled), other possibilities for publicity drive was briefly discussed and left open for further development and discussion.
