College of Saint BartholomewWhat is the College of Saint Bartholomew? The College of Saint Bartholomew (affectionately known as "St Bart's") is a branch of the SCA located at the University of Melbourne. As well as being an officially affiliated club with UMSU (the University of Melbourne Student Union), the College receives substantial help and support from their SCA parent group, the Barony of Stormhold. What do you guys do? During Semester the College holds weekly Arts & Sciences meetings, often with a guest from the Wider SCA to teach the collegians a new skill or discuss an aspect of medieval culture. In 2007 the meetings included classes in fingerloop braiding, dancing, cooking, singing, heraldry, calligraphy, leastherwork and sugarcraft. Meeting days and times vary, so join the St Bart's mailing list to keep informed, or e-mail the Seneschal (see mailing list and contacts pages). Collegians can also commonly be found at the Barony's meetings, with a crop of up-and-coming Heavy Combatants attending Tuesday night training in Kensington. How do I find out more? Our own website is currently in development, but if you want to contact the College, you have a couple of options.
