The Barony of Innilgard and the Shire of Arrowsreach are proud to announce
the first Great Southern Gathering, being a series of classes on all things
SCA.

The aim of the Gathering is to provide an environment for the teaching of
various combat and A&S subjects in a relaxed atmosphere. The current plan
is that on the Saturday classes will be taught while Sunday is a day of
tourneys and various combat related activities.

We have already had a number of expressions of interest in teaching classes
on I33, Italian longsword, creating a persona in the SCA, basic pottery and
basic garb using miniature patterns. The field is wide open for other
subjects. If you are interested in teaching a class, please contact
Baroness Ingerith Ryzka at viscountess@optusnet.com.au. If you wish to
teach a class we need to know no later than Sept. 18th.

More details on the timetable of classes and Sunday’s martial activities
will be forthcoming. Garb is optional for classes on Saturday, required for
feast on Saturday night and Sunday activities.

Schedule: This will be determined once teachers have been confirmed. The
location allows for multiple classes to be run simultaneously.
Site: Nioka Bush Camp, access to the camp is off Gordons Road via Plenty
Road in South Morang, Victoria, (Melways map 183 J8)
The site has a combination of cabins (34 beds) and camping for 50, a
kitchen, hall and space for outside activities.
The event is fully catered and if you have special requirements please
contact the Feast steward who may be able to assist. Interstate travellers
will be given priority for the cabins provided they book and pay a deposit
before the 30/6/09. After the 30/06/09 it’s first in, etc. …
Time: site opens Friday night 2nd Oct. for soup kitchen, closes Monday
morning Oct. 5th for pack up and departure.

Cost: *Event and cabin M$75 pp NM $80 pp
*Event and camping M$55 pp NM$60 pp
Day Rate M$10, NM$15 (no food)
Feast only M$20, NM$25
Non-members will be charged extra $2.

*Accommodation is a flat rate regardless of 1, 2 or 3 nights
