Tuesday night fighter training 17th Jan 2010

A big thanks to all who participated in tonight's activities. I really
appreciated the support and enthusiasm shown by those who attended..

We were able to give our guests, Sir Alfar and Rowena, a good display
of our welcome and hospitality.

We were also able to really get a feel for the new hall and environs
when practice is well attended.

I'm pleased to say that we had a good turnout of heavy fighters for
Sir Alfar and we also had a nice showing of support for Gilbert of
Abbotsford in his approach to his first Guild of Defence Prize.

Craft hall was buzzing along too with patterning of new clothing.
Vandal Lynchae and Waldo tested how level was the billiard table and
Brodhir showed off his new armour stand.

Heavies in armour were:
Sir Alfar
Sir Sheridan
Sir Brennan
Rodrigo of A
Waldo Turner
Brodhir
Jeffrey Brodhirson
Yahouda
Geoffery de Wolsley
Martin Le Mechant

The heavy training mostly consisted of king of the hill sparring.
people were simply enjoying themselves with opportunity to play with
gthe first King of Lochac... I can't speak for others but Sir Alfar
was very kind enough to some me a few pointers regarding accuracy and
power of snaps and subsequent shots. There were so many in armour that
we really got a chance to spread out and to get used to the much
larger space that the Coulson Reserve Oval has. It was great to see
Martin Le Mechant enjoying the Biff and we hope to see a bit more of
him as he has new arrangements for his other commitments.

Practising Rapier were:
Sir Wolfram
Everard Sefar
Gilligan of Stormhold
Gilbert of Abbotsford.

I believe that the emphasis was on honing Gilbert's skills prior to
his GoD Prize.

Caissene of Clan Murdoch was partially tested by Everard for her
combat archery authorisation and has to finish that off at the S.E.

It was a nice to see a few other folk attended the new hall for the
first time and a big thanks to Sir Sheridan for reminding a couple of
Kensington Diehards that fighter practice was in a new venue! See the
Stormhold Website for further details is case you missed that message
too.

See you all in Cairnfell for surveying expedition.
