Tournaments are all well and good - a stylised spectator sport, and a lot of fun besides! However, to really get your blood pumping, there's nothing like a good old-fashioned war! War is different from a tournament - and not just because you've got arrows flying everywhere. It's not enough to be a good fighter, able to take down any other fighter you meet. Tactics, movement, integration with your teammates - this is what is required to be a force to be reckoned with on the warfield. The Fiat Lux Declaration We, the undersigned, believe that the current participation of non-contact combatants (ie light archers, siege crew and banner bearers) on the war field has overwhelmingly positive effects for the Kingdom of Lochac in a number of important and divers ways. We also hold court, chat, picnic,do archery, sew, and wear medieval clothes. Monthly Bash has been going for Twenty Years and is a great way to participate in a fun medieval setting. If you are a newcomer, why not let us know that you will be there. That way, we can try to dress you in suitable and warm costume.
