Guild Badge/Arms (Device) Ideas



Guilds cannot register arms (a "device") - what we will be registering is in fact a badge. We can, however, decide to register two badges - one a more arms-like badge, and one a badge-type badge. Futher discussion on suitably period practice in this is being conducted. At this stage we are trying to determine what charges (as opposed to designs) are most popular. The possible charges chosen (so far) are:

	1. Maunch (Heraldic sleeve)
	2. Fig leaf (traditionally the first clothes)
	3. Sun in Splendour (for the sartorial splendour of our costumers)
	4. Peacock (A most resplendent bird!)
	5. Threaded needle ( the tool of the trade)
	6. Knotted string (measuring implement)
