Donna Bella Lucia da Verona

Playing since: April, 2001

Costuming Focus? Yes! Venice, 1490-1600, especially researching the clothing of Venetian courtesans. I'm also very interested in the clothing of other places within the Italian region in the sixteenth century, and I'm learning about the clothing styles of Elizabethan England and sixteenth century Spain. My main interest lies in the upper-class clothing of these regions.

Other SCA Interests: Learning about embroidery, lace-making, historic knitting, hairstyles/headwear/veils, book heraldry, woodwork, leatherwork - especially shoes.

Web Page? Yes. I have a web page on 16th century Venetian ladies' clothing and accessories at: http://realmofvenus.renaissanceitaly.net I also run a mailing list group dedicated to the Courtesan persona (but we talk about other things - like Venetian clothes)

THLady Katerina da Brescia

Playing since: late 1994

Costuming Focus? Um..... do I have to? My main focus is Italian Renaissance, Florence mainly but I flit into other northern Italian provinces and occasionally Elizabethan.

Other SCA Interests: Too many. I had to give up rapier to concentrate on scribes, painters and limners (ink and pencil work mainly)and archery. I am an advocate for headwear and am concentrating on accessories - glove making, fan making, millinery and decoration etc. Pageantry is a hobby of mine. I have dabbled in lace-making, shoemaking (my wrist did not like that one), jewellery making, made playing cards, iconography.... I am also a member of the WCOB (black-work and split stitch, couching). I had better leave it at that for now... no more room.)

Lady Ysmay de la Mor

Playing since: April '94

Costuming Focus? I lean towards later period, but I like all of it really. My current fascination is with period construction methods & patterning.

Other SCA Interests: I used to do a number of things (archery, dancing, being an officer ;-), but these days my focus is only on things that pertain to costuming (millinery, leatherwork...)

Web Page? Nope. (Maybe one day)
